Forsaken

Name

Lord Agmar of Stratholme

Also known as 'Agmar Scourge Bane'

Physical Traits

As with most undead, Agmar is quite dishevelled. He has no hair left, and all that remains of his jaw is bone, as are his arms and legs. However, that has not slowed him down, and his sword arm is still as strong as ever.

Undeath is not the only thing that has changed him since his untimely demise. The empty sockets where his eyes used to belong now burn with blue flames as a result of the magics used to raise him. Also, his sword constantly shimmers with the souls of all those he has slain. They remain there, forever trapped until the day Agmar decides to release them, but that may be some time away...

Race and Class

In life, he was a Human Warrior turned Paladin

In undeath, he became a Forsaken Death Knight

Guild

Cruel Intentions

Occupation

Tired of having all his armour and weapons payed for by his family fortune, Agmar decided to learn the art of blacksmithing, as well as mining to help support his 'hobby'. Since said fortune is now lost, it seems he made the right choice

Family

Agmar's family were known as the lords of Stratholme. They were quite a rich family, able to purchase almost anything they desired. The only reason they did not was simply because they chose not to. Most of Agmar's living family is known to have died either during Arthus' cleansing of Stratholme. However, a few people are said to have managed to have escape the slaughter and fled to Lordaeron. It is not known, however, if they survived Arthus' return or if they managed to escape to Stormwind.

It is Agmar's firm belief that he will never be able to find out the fate of his true family untill the Alliance and Horde can end their hostilitie. As such, he has come te see his fellow Death Knights of the Ebon Blade as his family. While they may choose to fight for different reasons, they will always be a part of this dark brotherhood.

Background

Born to a family of noble background, Agmar had a rather sheltered upbringing. It was because of this that he turned to the art of combat as a means to escape such stifling privilege. His military career was a long and successful one, with him serving honourably on the frontlines during the second war against the orcish hordes. During this time, he showed potential as a paladin, and was admitted into the Order of the Silver Hand. Some time after that, however, he met with a premature death, killed in a maddened fury by his own brother, Thomas Thomson. The attack had surprised Agmar so much he didn’t even have time to draw his weapon.

After that fatal encounter, he was interred to a crypt, and lay undisturbed there for many years before Scourge necromancers finally reopened the tomb. For many years after his ‘resurrection’ at the hands of those foul wizards, Agmar played out a twisted parody of his own life, serving in the third war against his former people before eventually joining the ranks of the Lich king’s Death Knights. He was present at the Battle for Light's Hope Chapel, and was one of the first to join the Knights of the Ebon Blade.

Due to his current state, the Alliance refuses to acknowledge Agmar for what he once was, even going as far as to attack him on sight. Even so, he does not hate them for it. Rather, he sees it is a fitting punishment for what he did on behalf of the Lich King. It is his fondest hope that the Alliance and the Horde will one day end their hostilities, so that he might be able to find what remains of his family, but he does not believe that day will come any time soon. Till then, he has sworn to focus his energies on destroying those threats that harm both powers, such as the Burning Legion and the Scourge.

Personal Notes

Dispide fighting for what many would see as a noble cause, Agmar is not above using more...questionable methods to achieve his goals. The time spent as the Lich King's slave has had a negative effect on his mind. For example, his runeblade is capable of ripping out and storing the souls of all those killed by it. These can then be used later to animate nerarby corpses, turning them into loyal undead guards. He also keeps a large hive of insects in his body, which he can telepathically command to swarm nearby enemies, oftern burrowing their way into their bodies and eating them from the inside out.

Current Status

Currently based in the floating city of Daleran, Agmar is currently aiding the war effort against the Lich King's forces in Northrend.
