The Strong, The Cunning and the Bloodthirsty.

Atal'Loa is a guild formed by trolls who wish to return to something they refer to as the "good old time", where there were trolls that did all they could to stay on the path that the Loa had set for them. They believe that the Darkspear Tribe has left religion behind and use the Loa for extraction of divine powers without serving them properly with rituals and sacrifices. They also believe that the blind services of the bloodgod Hakkar must end but since the other tribes are so hostile they have decided to start in the west, to reclaim the Holy Land of Stranglethorn Vale.

Some members

Atal'Loa seeks to convince all trolls of the Horde that the Horde is using them for their personal interest. Instead they want them to complete their own community of trolls where they will only be used by the Loa to do great things. Atal'Loa seeks more trolls who are prepared to seek the perfect path of service at the side of their new leaders, in the name of the Loa.

"No, enough of that! No longer will you be forced to aid your helpless leaders! Their false promises will lead to nothing but your own death! With us, your leaders will be helping you to help yourselves and to serve the Loa! No longer will you question yourself and your ways because from this day and on you will seek new ways to serve the Loa and aid your comrades as they will aid you! Welcome to Atal'Loa, brother, you will never be ashamed of your heritage again!" - High Priestess Vazja

Atal´Loa means "Devoted to the Loa"

Loa

What are the Loa? (from wowwiki)

-The trolls’ religion takes a decidedly different dark bent than the shamanistic beliefs of the orcs and tauren, though. Trolls have a complex belief system involving malign spirits and their effect on the world, but no scholar has established what is truth and what is simply long-held belief. All trolls come from a dark and bloodthirsty history of sacrifice, cannibalism and black magic. They consider spirits to be individuals much like living creatures. Spirits are greedy, hostile and dangerous. Trolls also believe their ancestors linger on as jealous spirits who miss the land of the living and require blood sacrifices to appease them. Trolls sacrifice and eat their enemies. They conduct these practices for two reasons. First, they believe the sacrifice of sentient creatures appeases malicious spirits. Second, they believe that after death, an enemy’s spirit can visit misfortune on its killer. By consuming the flesh of their enemies, trolls believe they can also consume their enemy’s spirit, or at least damage it enough to render it impotent. [1]

Loa information (basic):

Here is a 'basic' (more to come) list of some of the Loa we plan to follow, those who choose to follow and pay homage to a certain Loa will be pointed assignments which may please their Loa, for example; The trolls who follow Samedi will properly be sent to the Plaguelands to kill the undead trolls. (there are epic tasks like that for everyone! - we just have to figure more out).

Please note: the following Loa are considered Shadow Hunter Loa.

  • Mueh'zala the Loa of death and terror towards the enemy.

"Mueh'zala blesses the Berserkers who ruthlessly give themselves in the battle, striking terror into the hearts of the most disciplined soldiers."

  • The Loa Legba: a master of swift motion and stamina.

"The body is a temple", Legba guides those who need to trust in their psycical strength and speed."

  • Lukou: the Loa of healing and respite.

"Lukou gives the discipline a healer needs"

  • Ogoun: the Loa of war, battle and hexxing.

Ogoun guides those who practise the ways of war and destructive magic"

  • Dambala: is the Loa of serpents and treachery, a cunning hunter and a merciless foe.
  • Samedi: the Loa of cemeteries and the restful sleep of the dead. Samedi also gives strength to the living who mourn.

In Samedi’s eyes, the undead are abominations that should be destroyed

  • Shango: controls the realm of storms the balance of nature.

Shango is a peaceful Loa who cares for the land but when angered, he will call down the wrath of the storm upon the defilers.

OOC Information

Atal'Loa is the guild for any troll who seeks immersive troll RP. Your troll might have doubts in his tribes religious ways? Perhaps he seeks a closer relation to other trolls? Atal'Loa will gladly serve as a home for any lost troll!

Mind that the Shaman class is not allowed (you may roll a shaman but not title yourself as one, use the class to play a witch doctor or something)

The Leaders

All other classes allowed and again the only race allowed in is Troll... Oh and your character does not have to be a Darkspear (though it makes most sense) we take in those who are outcasts by their own tribe and can be of any use, they may also follow their tribe´s loa (those who are listed above are considered Darkspear Loa)

I hope this guild may rise to be active, fun and respected, I have plenty events in mind (easy since there are troll related thingys all over Azeroth! - Outland and Northrend will follow.)
