Physical Traits

Alexander Baromaine is thin and tall, with the pain tolerance of a small child. His fighting capability lies with surprise and weaponry, not muscle mass in any respect. He walks with a confident stride and seems irrevocably calm, even in the most hectic of situations. His cut-glass accent and extensive vocabulary hints at a noble upbringing, though his often-worn black leather counteracts this. He can be found in a multitude of disguises, ranging from simple commoner to masked mage.

Background

Born as the fourth son in a rich noble family with a vast estate in the fields of Elwynn Forest, Alexander grew up as the family's black sheep. As his brothers learned public speaking and other aristocratic skills, he was busy dodging his mentor and secretly learning how to pick locks, how to persuade and interrogate, and how to kill without sound.

Soon he realized that to seize his family's vast assets he must be the sole successor to his father. And so his brothers disappeared, one by one. No body was ever found -- no body ever remained. Just ashes, in the wind, concealing dagger wounds and garrotte marks.

But, much to his fury, his father refused to write him into his will, suspicious of the young Alexander and offering the contents of the family coffers to a distant cousin in Hillsbrad instead. In a rage, he strangled his father and stabbed two servants, setting the manor ablaze as he left with all the gold he could carry. A surprisingly large amount.

He then fell in with SI:7 following an expensive cover-up and a long line of bribed investigators, who then blamed a kitchen worker. He was summarily executed. The Stormwind Intelligence Seven was just the place for Alexander, who worked a nice path through the ranks using suave persuasion and silent, deadly ambushes.

Family Background

House Baromaine used to be a notably large and wealthy noble family, with the patriarch Alexander Walter being as suave as he was corrupt. This changed when Asset 47 ransacked the family treasury, killed his father and fled. Now they are left to the annals of history.

What the Heck is "Asset 47"?

Asset 47 is a code-name for Herius Darian's (Yes, personally to Herius, but he now reports to Shanura and Gladrien as well) chief of covert operations and espionage security. This is currently Alexander Baromaine, who was drafted there by SI:7. Asset 47 deals with a huge variety of infiltration, information retrieval, S&D, assassination, and interrogation missions. Notably, there is absolutely no record of Asset 47 or the program's initiation, leading to the fact that the position is totally deniable and that is Herius's public stance on the matter.
