Background[]
Finklecob was born to a prosperous engineering family and son of a tinker until the trog invasion and the radiation soon came. He was a young gnome studying firearms at the time to he naturally developed an affinity for that field during the period of the hold out against the torggs and leper gnomes in the clean zone for about the period of a year. He eventually fought his way out with a band of gnomregan sharpshooters and riflemen. Of the eleven that set out... six made it. Finklecob included. Upon reaching ironforge as gnomish refugee's Finklecob and his friends were taken in and nursed back to full health. The friends after that stuck close together. Fizzletonk, Shanty, Spronk, Tonvan, Dimyr and Finklecob soon after were seen by an alliance army recruiter and were enlisted into the "98th Kings Rifles". Finklecob and his friends were given commendations for the assasination of three high ranking horde army members at the battle of Bael Modan while helping the dwarves against a raid. Accompanied by the "Bael Modan First Mountaineers Brigade" and some forces of Theramore marines. Finklecob and four of his friends were put into a specialist unit of sharpshooters and scouts. The unit quickly established themselves as some of the best snipers the military had seen and Finklecob was given command of the 98th Rifles and his own unit called the "Ratling snipers." He was also appointed the rank of Lt. Colonel post-third war and during the northrend invasion. He retired from his military career to pursue engineering and exploring pursuits after spending countless days and nights leading his sharpshooters into scourge and horde occupied territory.
