Jalana is quite young, by Draenei standards, and has a positive outlook on life. She's attractive enough and has a cuteness and playfulness about her. She is usually dressed in casual, practical clothes like puffy-sleeved shirts and trousers or warm robes. The large leather bag she's often seen carrying around contains art supplies. A portable fold-up easel and storage tubes with metal caps for drawings are strapped to the outside of the bag.

Background[]
Born on Draenor, Jalana lived a relatively normal childhood. Well, as normal a childhood as can be expected when demons and fel orcs try to kill you every day. When she was a young adult she fell in love with a soldier, they shared a night of passion but she never saw him again, and he never knew that she was pregnant. She gave birth to a daughter named Etitia and her mother helped her raise the child. Jalana and her daughter Etitia was among the Draenei who boarded the Exodar, she left the rest of her family and her friends behind. The young mother and her daughter were both seriously injured in the crash. The child died from her injuries and Jalana slipped into a coma that would last for weeks. Jalana stayed at the Exodar for months after the crash, mourning the death of her daughter so much that she had trouble eating and sleeping. Eventually she decided to leave Azuremyst Isle to see more of this new world, taking her books and painting equipment with her.
