Theramore Isle is not only the Alliance's heavily fortified stronghold in Kalimdor and capital of the Dustwallow Marsh with a population of 9,500 people, but also the official home of the new Alliance in Kalimdor. It was built primarily as a military fortress, but has grown somewhat to serve as a trading port.
Approach from the sea is extremely difficult due to the jagged rocks jutting out of Dustwallow Bay, leaving travelers to journey on foot through the marsh to one of the villages that run ferries out to the island. Fearful of pirates from Ratchet and elsewhere, the cannons of Theramore will fire without warning on any ship approaching the island unannounced.
Inside the thick walls of Theramore, the people have labored hard to recreate a piece of Lordaeron. Graceful towers rise high above clean, cobblestone streets lined with shops and homes. At the center of the city lies the Foothold Citadel, a squat keep housing the chambers of the Alliance Assembly. Though the streets recall the quiet serenity of the Alliance of Lordaeron, the meetings of the Assembly reveal the considerable strain among the city's residents. After years of near-paternal guidance of the humans of Lordaeron, the high elves resent being forced to rely on the hospitality of the younger race since arriving on Kalimdor. As humans hold five of the seven seats on the Alliance Assembly, both the elves (with two seats) and the dwarves (with none) feel under-represented in the leadership of both Theramore and the Alliance in general. As the dwarves continue to accumulate more evidence of their Titan heritage that they want to present to their King in Khaz Modan, their protests that the Alliance does little to return across the sea grow louder and louder. Also, diplomatic relationship between the humans on Kalimdor and their brethren in the Eastern Kingdoms - especially the people of Stormwind, whose leadership wants to challenge Theramore on its new role as the Alliance's capital - have been getting worse in the past, with each side accusing the other of fatal mistakes during the last war: while the people of Theramore hold a grudge against their relatives for triggering the Horde's counterattack on the city, the humans on the other side of the ocean feel they have a right to get more support from Theramore.
Despite this internal debate, the Alliance places a high value on law and order in Theramore, and city guards make regular patrols to maintain the peace. When skirmishes break out between high elves and night elves or a dwarf gets too rowdy, the guards are quick to round up the offenders for a speedy trial at the Foothold Citadel and imprisonment in Ironclad Prison, the dungeons of which are along tunnels dug deep into the rock of the island. Sentences for fighting and disturbing the peace tend to be light (usually only a few days' incarceration), but sentences for more serious violations of the Alliance's code of law, such as high robbery or murder, can be much more severe. Several Knights of the Silver Hand, who travelled to Kalimdor together with Jaina Proudmoore, also have a small paladin lodge in the city.
Theramore Isle is the Home of Jaina Proudmoore and the remaining Alliance forces who followed Medivh's advice before the Burning Legion's invasion and evacuated to Kalimdor. Theramore soldiers can also be found guarding Northwatch Hold.
It appears that despite Jaina's efforts, some people in Theramore continue to desire ill upon the orcs. They have attacked Balandar Brightscar ships and stolen his cargo and his first mate. Lieutenant Caldwell also displays a hatred for Horde and executed Paval Reethe for alleged involvement with the Horde.

The Theramore Task ForceEdit
Naturally, the Task Force is based in Theramore, serving the majestic Lady Jaina Proudmoore. We hold the Keep, known as "The Garrison", as our Headquarters, and make use of its many rooms and resources. We use various other buildings at our disposal situated around Theramore, such as Lady Jainas observatory tower, where the middle floor acts as our military archive & library, whilst the Docks are used to moor our War Frigate, The Bleeding Sparrow.
You may also find the Task Force within the compound of Northwatch Hold, just South of Ratchet, during trainings and patrols of the Barrens, keeping tight security over Theramores sector.
The Marsh surrounding Theramore is full of waste and danger. Many spies and carniverous creatures lurk around and wait for a time to strike down any civilian or soldier leaving the city. It is advised that anybody venturing outside of the city alone should fully equip themselves.
The Dark Blades have docked their battleship,The Talon, in Theramore. It is owned by them because Manaron was a crew member at the time of the Captain's death. The crew will attack all intruders so be warned... Manaron has spoken to the Theramore Task Force and was not pleased with the result. He now refuses to move out of Theramore.
The Dark Blades, after disbanding, left the ship there and fled.
The State of Theramore Edit
The state of Theramore has taken over the control of Theramore ever since the Theramore Task Force left the isle. Under the Higher command of Lady Jaina Proudmoore and under the leadership of High Commander Afrodite Dughan they protected the tradeport at all costs.
Though on one night an assassin attempted to kill Archmage Jaina Proudmoore, but he got interupted by the High Commander, who duelled the Assassin. Though... she lost the duel. Ash she died, the female Draenei who served the army of Theramore took over her place. Herebys Armulias was now the High Commander of Theramore.
But again this story had a sad ending.
The Forgotten Theramores, a small group of criminals who escaped from the prisons of Theramore worked together in order to besiege Theramore and kill Herebys Armulias. Without any leader, Theramore was taken over by the Forgotten Theramores.
Though this didn't go unnoticed.
A group of soldiers and heroes gathered around on the Cathedral Square in Stormwind City. Together they took a boat towards the harbor of Theramore and started a fight between them and the Forgotten Theramores.
They managed to free Theramore from their reign and a new leader stepped forward. It was the younger brother of former High Commander Afrodite Dughan. Lord Rhaleth Rick Dugan was the new High Commander of Theramore, though he refered to himself as 'Lord' instead of High Commander.
On this day Lord Rhaleth Rick Dughan has ruled over Theramore in peace and aims to keep it that way.
