Background

Thorinhelm Brownbeard was born and raised in the snowy glooms of Kharanos in Dun Morogh to Falin & Wendalin Brownbeard, humble crayfishers and pie makers. He had an older brother called Broadmede to whom he was never really fond of, but still tried to get along for the sake of an easier life even if it was a dull one.

When be became of age he immediately enlisted into the army as a cadet and was soon thrust into the Ironforge main guard. Honing his skills over many years he soon saw his first taste of combat during the Second & Third Wars where he served as a enlisted Dwarf rising up to take the position of Sergeant.

Soon after the end of the Third War he decided to go on and explore the lands further and soon enlisted with the mighty vessel The Darkmoon and became a sailor in it's crew. During this time he was able to see much of the world and encounter strange and wondrous events, the only problem was he became incredibly seasick despite spending almost three years in the crew. After he couldn't bare it any longer he hopped out at the next ships heading, which was the Human city of Stormwind.

Needing work,food and a place to sleep he knew the only way to achieve this in a short space of time was to enlist in the guard, after all he knew a few people in the guard still and they owed him a few favours. This lead him to become part of what was know at the time as Stormwind Guard as his former rank of Sergeant.

Over the years the Guard faced many different changes in command, due to money cuts, noble involvement and other less honourable deeds, he managed to rise to the rank of Captain and held that role for many years after. Since the events of the Cataclysm and Deathwings destruction to Stormwind, the guard was dissolved due to more cuts and the devastation he created. Since then Thorinhelm has been a wandering explorer, searching for what ever he fancies and wherever, normally ale and gold!

Family Background

Crayfishers and piemakers from Kharanos, Dun Morogh. From a humble background they are still decendants of the Bronzebeard race of Dwarfs.

Brownbeards normally preferred the simple life until Thorinhelm decided that the would leave the "dull" life and go and explore the world for ale and gold. Broadmede still maintains the family tradition and has never wondered far from the Dwarf territories.
